Manufacturing Engineer

Job summary

Insight Global seeks an engineer to support local facilities and lead engineering support for the Operations Group, including maintenance, production, tooling, and setup. You will assist with design and procurement of tooling and fixtures, and onboard new products to meet production, quality, and safety requirements.

The role involves capital improvements, line optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with the corporate engineering group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical), Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience in manufacturing environment (3-5 yrs).
• Preferred experience in roll forming, metal fabrication/stamping or similar.
• Skills include AutoCAD, Inventor, Microsoft Office, MS Project, Continuous improvement, Six Sigma, and Project management.

Responsibilities

• Work with corporate engineering group to support local facilities.
• Lead Engineering support for Operations Group (maintenance, production, tooling, set-up).
• Support maintenance group in technical issues (breakdowns, preventative maintenance).
• Assist with design and procurement of tooling and fixtures for production.
• Support on-boarding of new products and programs to achieve production, quality, and safety requirements.
• Support local equipment installations, capital improvements, and implement corporate Engineering initiatives.
• Work with the Operations Group for line optimization and Continuous Improvement projects.
• Help maintain item master, BOM and router creation in the ERP system.
• Execute Engineering Change Notices when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
