Job summary

Hendrickson in Somerset, KY is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician to support paint and assembly processes and troubleshoot problems in the facility. You will assist in problem isolation and provide back-up support to axle, weld, and fab departments as needed.

Ideal candidates have strong mechanical aptitude, can read prints, and possess formal training in robotics, CNC controls, machining, and SPC. Experience with AutoCAD, PLC programming, and FANUC robotics is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Interpret prints, sketches, and data to identify tooling and fixturing.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude.
• Formal training in robotics, CNC controls, machining, and SPC.
• AutoCAD experience is a plus.
• Evaluate tooling and fixturing to determine best repair or improvement.
• PLC programming knowledge.
• Shift: 2nd shift required.
• FANUC Robotics background preferred.
• Welding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Apply gauging, fixtures, and tooling concepts to assist problem solving.
• Identify improvements to tooling, cleanliness, and operation sequences to boost throughput or product quality.
• Help maintain and control part programs for all machining areas.
• Evaluate tooling and fixturing for optimum method of repair or improvement.
• Provide support to production associates as they assume greater responsibilities.
