Job summary
Carrier is seeking an experienced EHS Specialist/Manager for our Indianapolis manufacturing facility to drive compliance and continuous safety improvements. You will partner with operations on the shop floor to investigate incidents and implement corrective actions while tracking safety metrics and ensuring alignment with OSHA, EPA, and DOT standards.
The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree and 5+ years in industrial EHS, with a proactive safety culture focus, experience with JHAs, risk
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5+ years in industrial EHS in manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA/EPA/DOT regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience leading incident investigations and corrective-action programs.
- Ability to coach teams and drive a safety-focused culture on the shop floor.
Responsibilities
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses and corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain site EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct safety inspections, JHAs, and risk assessments across the facility.
- Track TRIR and safety metrics; prepare monthly/quarterly/annual reports.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT and company standards; audits support.
- Coordinate safety training, safety committees, and employee engagement.
