Job summary

Globalchannelmanagement is seeking an EHS Specialist with 3–5 years of manufacturing experience in Norman, Oklahoma. The role requires a degree in Industrial or Occupational Health and Safety, with ASP, CSP or COSHO preferred.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing safety programs, establishing and tracking leading and lagging metrics, and ensuring behavioral safety observations are consistently carried out.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Degree in Industrial or Occupational Health and Safety required.
• ASP, CSP or COSHO preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement motivational and incentive programs that promote a high degree of safety awareness and enthusiasm.
• Establish, record and track safety performance metrics, both leading and lagging indicators.
• Ensure that behavior-based observation programs are effectively implemented and tracked.
• Review planned changes and new equipment installations prior to receipt.
• Approve or recommend changes in manufacturing and engineering matters of plant layout, location/relocation of machinery, equipment, facilities, safety designs and processes.
