Job summary

NR Consulting is seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to support environmental, health, and safety programs within manufacturing and laboratory operations. The role ensures OSHA/regulatory compliance, conducts safety inspections, delivers employee training, and drives continuous EHS improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EHS or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years of EHS/Safety experience
• Strong OSHA, safety compliance, chemical safety, and regulatory knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor EHS programs and compliance initiatives.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, Gemba walks, and follow-up actions.
• Deliver EHS training, including new-hire orientation and forklift/crane training.
• Complete JSAs, PPE assessments, and incident investigations.
• Maintain chemical inventories and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Support laboratory Chemical Hygiene Plans and flammable/hazardous chemical programs.
• Track EHS metrics, investigations, trends, and corrective actions.
• Partner with operations and engineering teams to resolve safety issues.
• Interpret OSHA and other applicable regulations and implement requirements.
• Manage multiple EHS projects with limited supervision.
