Job summary

Spectrum Brands is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager for the Vinita Park facility near St. Louis. The role ensures a safe, healthy workplace and regulatory compliance for EHS, security and workers' compensation.

You will lead environmental, health and safety initiatives, manage safety performance, and develop policies, training, and audits across the site while collaborating with plant leadership and local authorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an EHS role in a manufacturing setting.
• Manufacturing facility experience is required.
• Experience with Process Safety Management and Risk Management Planning is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS initiatives in alignment with company objectives.
• Manage safety performance using electronic EHS systems.
• Ensure OSHA/EPA compliance at local, state and federal levels.
• Develop and maintain EHS policies and procedures.
• Design and deliver manager/employee training on safety topics.
• Lead plant Safety Committee and drive safety communications.
• Oversee emergency action planning and drills with local authorities.
• Coordinate PSM/RMP activities and risk management plans.
• Conduct EHS audits and drive corrective actions with employees.
• Prepare environmental reports and analyze safety statistics.
• Support workers' compensation processes and return-to-work plans.
