Job summary

Spectrum Brands seeks an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager for the Vinita Park facility to lead EHS, security, and workers' compensation programs. You will ensure a safe workplace and regulatory compliance across OSHA, EPA, and local requirements, while coordinating training and safety initiatives with plant leadership.

Qualifications include a 5+ year track record in EHS at a manufacturing site and a degree in a relevant field; relocation support is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial safety, industrial hygiene, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an EHS role with regulatory knowledge.
• Manufacturing facility experience is required.
• Experience with Process Safety Management/Risk Management Planning is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the facility's environmental, health, safety, and sustainability initiatives.
• Manage safety performance and reporting through EHS systems.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations; represent the company in regulatory interactions.
• Develop and maintain EHS policies and procedures.
• Design and deliver training on safety topics like fire prevention and lockout/tagout.
• Serve on the plant Safety Committee and coordinate safety campaigns.
• Oversee emergency action planning and drills with local authorities.
• Ensure compliance with PSM and RMP; schedule analyses and train personnel.
• Conduct EHS audits and drive corrective actions with staff.
• Prepare and maintain environmental reports for agencies.
• Compile safety statistics and support workers' comp programs.
• Demonstrate Spectrum Brands' values and drive service excellence.
