Job summary

Conagra Brands in Quincy, MI, is seeking an experienced EHS leader to drive site environmental, health, and safety programs. You will work with plant teams to embed best practices across daily operations and lead investigations, risk assessments, and regulatory reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in EHS or related field, 4+ years of manufacturing EHS experience, and certification preferred. Onsite work with strong leadership and engagement skills is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety, safety management, industrial hygiene, environmental science, or engineering preferred.
• Four or more years of environmental, health, and safety experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT and state/local requirements.
• Experience with incident investigations, audits, risk assessments, regulatory compliance, and corrective actions.
• Strong communication, leadership, problem solving, data analysis, and employee engagement skills.
• Certified Safety Professional or similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead site EHS programs, management systems, and continuous improvement plans.
• Translate policies and regulatory requirements into site procedures and practices.
• Advise plant leadership on risks, compliance, resources, and priorities.
• Identify hazards, assess risks, eliminate exposures, and prevent incidents.
• Develop and deliver required safety training and facilitate safety committees.
• Manage programs including industrial hygiene, ergonomics, machine safety, contractor safety, and emergency response.
