Job summary

Conagra Brands is seeking an experienced EHS leader to oversee environmental, health, and safety programs at a manufacturing site. You will drive regulatory compliance, develop training, and lead teams to advance safety performance and environmental stewardship across air, water, and waste systems.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a relevant field, 5+ years in industrial safety (CSP preferred), and strong regulatory knowledge across OSHA, EPA, and DOT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety Management, Environmental Health or EHS.
• Five+ years of industrial safety experience; CSP certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience building and leading teams; knowledge of OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all environmental, health, safety, and sustainability development programs.
• Own site environmental systems including air emissions, wastewater, waste management, permitting, and regulatory agency interactions.
• Direct environmental compliance and performance activities in line with regulations and corporate guidelines.
• Ensure all environmental reports are completed and submitted on time.
• Promote an accident‑free workplace by developing training programs and monitoring safe practices.
• Plan and deliver training for managers and employees on workplace safety standards.
• Support incident investigations and regulatory reporting.
• Conduct inspections and audits to identify hazards and corrective actions.
• Facilitate the Central Safety Committee and serve as a resource to subcommittees.
• Administer initial Workers Compensation processes.
• Guide the plant to meet OSHA, Cal/OSHA, EPA, and Conagra requirements.
