Actalent is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer to lead safety and environmental programs across our manufacturing sites in Congers, NY. You will partner with Operations, Quality, and Leadership to drive OSHA compliance, risk reduction, and a culture of continuous improvement.

This permanent, onsite role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing. You will develop policies, conduct audits, lead incident investigations, and train employees to

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance.
• Experience conducting safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Experience with incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of hazardous waste management and environmental compliance practices.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with employees and leadership at all levels.

Mansioni

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable regulations.
• Monitor regulatory changes and update programs accordingly.
• Maintain OSHA logs, incident records, audit reports, SDS documentation, and compliance records.
• Conduct routine safety audits, inspections, and facility assessments.
• Identify hazards, evaluate risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Develop JHAs, SOPs, and safety documentation.
• Coordinate and deliver new hire safety orientations and ongoing employee training.
• Promote safety awareness and engagement across the organization.
• Facilitate Health & Safety Committee meetings and communicate performance metrics.
• Manage hazardous waste handling, storage, labeling, and disposal activities.
• Support environmental compliance initiatives and sustainability efforts.
• Ensure environmental programs align with regulatory requirements and company objectives.
• Coordinate emergency response plans, drills, evacuation procedures, and preparedness programs.
• Assist leadership in maintaining readiness for emergencies.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, Engineering and Leadership to integrate EHS best practices.
