Job summary

Zekelman Industries is seeking a Data Entry Specialist to support Production and Maintenance with data management, documentation control, inventory tracking, and operational reporting. The role blends daily tasks with special projects across departments in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, requiring organization, attention to detail, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; related computer coursework preferred.
• 1-2 years in manufacturing admin, reporting, or data management.
• Experience reviewing data for accuracy and correcting inconsistencies.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Working knowledge of SAP and MES preferred.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.
• Strong communication and collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain coil data in the MES, troubleshooting data discrepancies.
• Organize vendor bills of lading (BOLs) and related tags and documentation.
• Input and maintain data within SAP to support records.
• Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets and reports for production, maintenance, warehouse, and materials teams.
• Coordinate with BNSF Railroad to track inbound coil inventory.
• Assist the Maintenance Department with parts documentation and data creation.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports.
• Maintain maintenance action logs.
• Support purchasing activities through documentation management.
• Assist with department and plant-wide projects as needed.
• Distribute operational reports to Warehouse and Materials teams.
• Collaborate with supervisors across the facility to meet goals.
• Maintain regular onsite attendance.
