Job summary

Zekelman Industries seeks a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance team and ensure reliability, efficiency and safety of plant equipment.

You will coordinate preventive maintenance programs, troubleshoot machinery issues, and lead skilled technicians in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Department Manager, you will drive improvements and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in steel manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Proven supervisory experience leading a maintenance team.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems; welding/fabrication a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor maintenance technicians to ensure reliable daily operations.
• Oversee troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of plant equipment (mills, welders, cutting systems, material handling).
• Develop and implement preventive/predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
• Enforce safety protocols and OSHA compliance.
• Coordinate emergency repairs and manage parts inventory and procurement.
• Collaborate with production, engineering and quality teams to support continuous improvement.
