Job summary

Intel's Foundry Automation (IFA) team seeks a Software Application Development Engineer to deliver innovative software solutions for highly automated fabs in collaboration with Fab Manufacturing and Engineering.

You will work at the intersection of software engineering and advanced manufacturing, gathering requirements, implementing releases, testing, and supporting operations in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE or related STEM with 3+ years of industry experience; OR a master’s or Ph.D. in a related field.
Preferred: Oracle Certification (OCA, OCP, or OCM).

Responsibilities

Collaborate with internal customers and partners to identify data and business needs and translate them into software solutions.
Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for optimization.
Gather and document business and technical requirements from Fab Manufacturing and Engineering.
Execute implementation and testing of application and database software releases with quality and reliability.
Manage stakeholder relationships and communicate project status, risks, and recommendations clearly.
Prioritize configuration changes in MES and manage development and continuous improvement projects.
Provide Tier 3 end-user technical support with a 24/7 on-call rotation and escalation for complex issues.
Co-develop software tools and streamline processes to drive efficiency and improvement.
