Job summary

Murrelektronik North America is seeking a Cost Analyst to join our Finance team in Suwanee, GA. You will bridge engineering, supply chain, and production to analyze costs and turn data into strategic insights.

The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of cost accounting experience, advanced Excel skills, and experience with SAP in manufacturing. A proactive, collaborative mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 2–4 years of related professional experience.
• Strong financial and cost accounting knowledge.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
• Experience with SAP in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Advanced data analytics and data automation skills (SQL or Python) are highly desirable.
• Power BI proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze input material costs and ensure accurate costing for new and existing products.
• Monitor purchase price variances and production efficiency variances.
• Support pricing decisions through margin and profitability analysis.
• Investigate cost variances and explain significant fluctuations.
• Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and unusual transactions.
• Support inventory valuation and ensure costing accuracy.
• Partner with operations and supply chain teams to set optimal stock levels.
• Evaluate production and procurement processes for cost-saving opportunities.
• Calculate product, customer, and channel profitability.
• Develop and maintain costing models and analytical tools.
