Job summary

AKG North American Operations Inc. seeks a Technical Costing Analyst to develop detailed product-cost estimates from engineering drawings, BOMs, and production concepts.

You will validate material, labor, and overhead inputs and coordinate with Engineering, Sales, Purchasing, and Finance to ensure accurate costing data in SAP. The role requires strong analytical skills, experience in manufacturing cost estimating, and the ability to drive cost-reduction efforts through data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or finance with cost experience, or associate degree with 5+ years costing experience.
• Experience in manufacturing cost estimating and cost-model development.
• Advanced Excel skills and data analysis.
• Ability to translate cost drivers into business conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed product-cost estimates from BOMs, drawings, and specs.
• Validate material, labor, and overhead assumptions with stakeholders.
• Support SAP costing and mass-costing activities per finance processes.
• Identify cost drivers and opportunities for cost reduction.
• Prepare cost summaries and risk analyses for quotations.
