Plastic Molding Manufacturing (PMM) is seeking a Cost Accountant to analyze manufacturing costs, support accurate financial reporting, and drive profitability analyses. The role partners with operations, production, and finance to ensure cost accuracy, maintain inventory integrity, and support month-end and year-end close.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, has 3–5 years of manufacturing accounting experience, and is proficient in standard costing, variance analysis,

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of manufacturing accounting experience.
• Strong cost accounting and GAAP knowledge.
• Experience with standard costing and inventory management.
• Ability to analyze margins and report financial results.

Responsibilities

• Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs for product margins.
• Review pricing and support profitability objectives.
• Perform variance analysis comparing standard vs actual costs.
• Monitor inventory valuation and GAAP compliance.
• Identify obsolete inventory and advise on reserves or disposal.
• Assist with month-end/year-end closing and financial reporting.
• Prepare cost-related reports for management and cross-functional teams.
• Support audits with documentation and data analysis.
