Job summary

Sole Solutions LLC seeks a Cost Accountant in New Jersey to analyze and report manufacturing costs for accurate financial reporting and profitability. You will maintain standard costs, monitor inventory, variances, and support month-end close while partnering with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering and Finance to improve costing accuracy and identify cost-reduction opportunities.

Ideal candidates possess a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, 2–5+ years of manufacturing cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 2–5+ years of manufacturing cost accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and manufacturing processes.
• Advanced Excel and Acumatica skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standard costs and reconcile inventory; analyze material, labor and overhead variances.
• Support month-end close, physical inventory counts, budgeting and forecasting; report COGS, margins and plant performance.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering and Finance to improve costing accuracy and drive cost reductions.

Job description

The Cost Accountant will analyze and report manufacturing costs to support accurate financial reporting, cost control, and profitability.

• This role will maintain standard costs, monitor and reconcile inventory, analyze material, labor, and overhead variances, support month-end close, physical inventory counts, budgeting and forecasting, and provide management with reporting on COGS, margins, and plant performance.
• The position will partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, and Finance to improve costing accuracy, strengthen controls, and identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 2–5+ years of manufacturing cost accounting experience, strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and GAAP, and advanced Excel and Accumatica skills.
