Job summary

PiovanGroup in Franklin, PA seeks a Cost Accountant to support the Plant Controller with gross margin analysis, costing, and inventory accuracy. The role reports to the Plant Controller and is located in Franklin, Pennsylvania.

Key tasks include month-end reporting, planning, variance analysis, internal controls, cycle counts, GL reconciliation, and audits. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 5+ years in manufacturing; SAP experience and MS Office skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 5+ years of direct/relevant manufacturing experience.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Provide month-end financial reports
• Assist in the financial planning of the organization
• Compare actual costs to budgeted costs and analyze variances
• Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for cost accounting activities
• Perform physical inventory control and reporting
• Assist with cycle counts/physical inventories, and analyze the cost accounting data
• Reconcile general ledger accounts focusing on sales, costs, inventory, and liabilities
• Execute gross margin analysis and report findings
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Other duties as assigned
