Job summary

Magnesium Elektron in Illinois is seeking a Cost Accountant to assist in inventory management and the cost accounting process. The successful candidate will report directly to the Inventory Control Manager and work closely with Supply Chain and Sales Planning.

Key responsibilities include month-end inventory valuation, general ledger reconciliations, and data analysis for purchasing. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting and 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in cost accounting.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Track and value inventory for month-end valuation.
• Perform general ledger inventory account reconciliations.
• Assist in physical inventory and cycle count reconciliation.
