Magneto & Diesel Injector Service Inc. is seeking a Cost Accountant to analyze, monitor, and report on costs tied to inventory, manufacturing, and operations. The role partners with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure accurate costing, margin analysis, and financial reporting.

The candidate will identify cost-saving opportunities, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide financial insights to drive informed business decisions. Requires GAAP knowledge and strongExcel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably cost accounting in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Experience with ERP systems and inventory management processes required.
• CPA/CMA or progress toward certification preferred.
• Strong cost accounting, inventory valuation, and financial reporting knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups) required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and analyze standard costs for products, materials, labor, and overhead.
• Perform inventory accounting, reconciliations, cycle counts, and inventory reserve analysis.
• Analyze variances and provide explanations to management.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes including journal entries.
• Prepare and distribute cost and profitability reports for management.
