aFit is seeking a hands-on Cost Accountant to own cost accounting in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role partners with finance and operations to enable informed decisions through costing accuracy and process improvements.

The successful candidate collaborates with manufacturing, engineering, and purchasing to understand cost drivers and deliver actionable recommendations that impact profitability and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• Experience applying cost accounting in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of standard costing and inventory accounting.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
• Ability to translate data into actionable business insights.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost accounting processes and provide analytical support for business decisions.
• Own product costing, standard cost development, and variance analysis.
• Maintain and improve BOMs and routing data within the ERP system.
• Analyze labor, material, and overhead variances with actionable insights.
• Support inventory valuation, reserves, and month-end close activities.
• Develop reporting to improve visibility into margins and costs.
