Job summary

LHH is partnering with a growing manufacturing organization to hire an experienced Cost Accountant to join the accounting team. This role offers visibility across the business and carries a 10% bonus in addition to base salary.

The candidate will manage job costs, analyze BOMs, perform variance analysis, and support inventory accounting. Collaboration with operations and finance teams is essential for driving cost visibility and informed decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• 5+ years of accounting or finance experience preferred.
• Strong cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with job costing, BOM analysis, variance analysis, inventory, and cost tracking.
• Strong analytical skills to explain cost variances and trends.

Responsibilities

• Manage and analyze job costs.
• Review BOMs and investigate cost discrepancies.
• Perform variance analysis and identify key cost drivers.
• Track manufacturing costs and provide insights into trends and opportunities.
• Support inventory accounting, controls, and reconciliation.
• Partner with operations, supply chain, finance, and cross-functional teams.
• Assist with reporting and analysis to support business decisions.
• Help improve cost accounting processes and financial visibility.
