Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Cost Accountant for a growing organization in the Greater Cleveland, Ohio area. The role focuses on analyzing manufacturing costs, partnering with operations, and driving process improvements that impact the bottom line.

Responsibilities include analyzing product costs, preparing monthly cost reports, supporting cycle counts, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. Ideal candidates have strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or cost accounting.
• Strong understanding of inventory, standard costing, and variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze product costs, inventory valuations, and manufacturing variances.
• Prepare and review monthly cost accounting reports and reconciliations.
• Monitor inventory transactions and support cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Partner with operations and plant leadership to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
• Maintain standard costs and evaluate variances to actual results.
• Support month-end close and financial reporting processes.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
