Job summary

Jobot, an aerospace manufacturing company, is seeking a highly skilled Cost Accountant to join our growing team. You will manage cost analysis, inventory evaluation, and financial reporting while supporting monthly close and internal controls.

We offer a full-time position requiring 5+ years in cost accounting, with strong Excel skills and experience with manufacturing cost systems. Excellent compensation and relocation options are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of cost accounting in manufacturing.
• Strong cost systems background and strong analytical skills; solid accounting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze weekly, monthly gross margin by product and customer type.
• Assist in month-end close and journal entries; analyze inventory.
• Coordinate with IT for systems issues across production, purchasing, and logistics.
• Analyze cost data and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Maintain internal controls documentation and test controls.
• Prepare detailed account analyses and reconcile sales, cost, inventory, and liability accounts.
• Review and analyze inventory and margin reports; conduct profitability studies.
• Support internal reporting requirements for audits and tax schedules.
• Ensure timely submission and accuracy of inventory and gross margin schedules to management.
• Work on special projects as required.
