Job summary

Whirlpool Corporation in Ohio offers a three-year Manufacturing Leadership Development Program: Controls Engineering Track. You will rotate through two plant locations (Findlay and Clyde) to design, build, and troubleshoot automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and MES integrations.

You will gain leadership experience, receive mentorship from senior engineers, and contribute to IIoT and AI/ML initiatives using Lean/WCM for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Pursuing degree with plan to graduate by May 2027.
• Strong foundation in PLC/HMI, robotics, or vision systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and troubleshoot core automation systems like PLCs, HMIs, motor drives.
• Lead and support strategic cross-plant transformation projects (IIoT, AI/ML).
• Apply Lean and World Class Manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement.
• Manage automation projects in cost/time-constrained environments.
