Job summary

Clarios is seeking a Manufacturing & Controls Engineer in Toledo, OH to join a cross-functional team focused on advancing assembly processes and equipment. You will deliver electrical/mechanical designs, update process documentation, and develop SME expertise on assigned equipment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and at least 3 years in manufacturing engineering, with proficiency in pneumatics/hydraulics, 3D/2D CAD, and PLC/SCADA systems.

Qualifications

• Required Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Manufacturing preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing environment
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics
• Ability to design pneumatic and hydraulic systems; create pneu/ hydraulics schematics
• 3D modeling and 2D drafting experience in SolidWorks/AutoCAD; MS Office
• SCADA experience in pulling and reporting on production data
• Ability to self-start and manage projects
• Preferred: Minitab, Six Sigma
• Ability to access/edit PLC code; RSLogix/Studio5000 (Allen-Bradley)

Responsibilities

• Participate as a project team member on manufacturing projects
• Provide mechanical, electrical, and system design deliverables
• Develop process spec changes and update work instructions
• Update Assembly Process Flow Charts and PFMEA
• Develop SME level for assembly equipment and processes
• Lead smaller development projects impacting business objectives
• Provide technical support for plant operations and capital projects
• Prepare review information for leadership on project progress
• Implement process changes and assist with expansion equipment installation
• Collaborate with Safety, Environmental, QA for compliance
• Communicate with plant staff to align focus and remove barriers
• Create equipment statements of work and acceptance test plans
• Travel to supplier sites for equipment qualification and testing
• Perform other tasks as assigned
