Job summary

Dahl Consulting in Saint Cloud, MN, seeks a hands-on Controller to lead the accounting team and oversee all financial operations for a manufacturing client. The role focuses on accuracy, integrity, and process efficiency, partnering with leadership to support growth.

The Controller will manage daily accounting functions, enforce internal controls, and drive close processes and financial analysis with strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting with relevant credentials.
• 5+ years of accounting experience in a corporate or manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience preparing financial statements and analyses.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications, especially Excel.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage daily accounting operations (AR/AP, collections, general ledger).
• Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements and reports.
• Oversee billing, cash receipts, and collections activities.
• Review POs for pricing accuracy and cost alignment.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
• Monitor and reconcile inventory and related controls.
• Lead month-end close and ensure timely reporting.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and GL accounts; maintain documentation.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts monthly.
• Assist budgeting and forecast processes; partner with leadership.
• Identify process improvements and drive internal controls.
• Lead accounting projects and cross‑functional initiatives.
• Troubleshoot bottlenecks and support business decisions.
