Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA/CMA preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and cost accounting in manufacturing.
• Experience with financial statements, month-end close, budgeting.
• Proficiency with ERP accounting systems and Excel for modeling.
• Proven ability to lead and develop an accounting team.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors is preferred.

The Financial Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Dyersville, IA with our client, responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting and financial operations. This role includes managing the preparation of financial statements, overseeing general ledger activities, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The Financial Controller will monitor budgets, analyze financial performance, and provide insights to leadership to support strategic decisions. Daily responsibilities also include maintaining internal controls, coordinating audits, managing compliance with relevant regulations, and mentoring accounting staff. The role collaborates closely with operations and management to support cost control, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Accounting and Finance skills, including knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
• Candidates should possess experience with Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, including month-end close, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, develop forecasts, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Candidates should possess proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel) for financial modeling and reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop an accounting team, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
