Job summary

NorthPoint Search Group is seeking a hands-on Controller for a well-established consumer products manufacturer in Charlotte, NC. The role will lead all accounting operations and financial reporting, ensuring GAAP compliance and strong internal controls.

The ideal candidate will drive budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and variance analysis, partnering with operations to deliver insights and efficiencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and ERP systems
• Proven leadership skills with ability to mentor and develop a team
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly close process and preparation of financial statements
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Oversee cost accounting and inventory controls
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies
• Supervise accounting team and coordinate audits
• Partner with operations to drive financial insights and efficiencies
