Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen Wealth Advisors, LLC is seeking a Controller with Manufacturing industry experience to join our CAAS practice in the Milwaukee/Wauwatosa, WI office. You will develop internal controls, lead budgeting, and prepare financial statements for client manufacturers.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree, 7 years of accounting experience (manufacturing preferred), and proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• 7 years of accounting/financial experience (manufacturing industry preferred).
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required; CPA certification preferred but not required.
• QuickBooks experience highly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.

Responsibilities

• Develop internal control policies and procedures for budgeting, cash management, and accounting.
• Coordinate financial planning, budgeting, procurement, or investment activities for part/all of an organization.
• Prepare financial information and direct preparation of financial statements and regulatory reports.
• Evaluate funding needs and investment of surplus funds and make recommendations.
• Monitor ratios and KPI to assess financial performance.
• Monitor and evaluate accounting staff performance and implement improvements.
• Advise management on short- and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions.
• Communicate regularly with boards, bankers, investors and constituents; may prep/host board presentations.

CLA is looking for a **Controller** with **Manufacturing****industry** experience, to join our **CAAS (*****Client Accounting & Advisory Services*****)** practice, based out of our **Milwaukee/Wauwatosa, WI** office location**Job Description:*** Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting.* Coordinate and directs the financial planning, budgeting, procurements, or investment activities for all or part of an organization. Prepare financial information.* Prepare and/or direct preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, budgets, or reports required by regulatory agencies.* Evaluate needs for procurement of funds and investment of surpluses and make appropriate recommendations.* Monitor ratio and key performance indicators (KPI).* Monitor and evaluates the performance of accounting and other financial staff, recommending and implementing actions.* Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions.* Communicate on a regular basis with boards, bankers, investors, constituents, etc.; may include prepping for and/or hosting board presentations.**Education/Experience:*** ***Education:*** Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree. CPA certification is preferred but not required.* ***Experience***: 7 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience is required (Manufacturing industry experience is highly preferred). Public accounting experience preferred.* Aptitude for developing and maintaining a thorough working knowledge of accounting software and systems.
