Job summary

You’ll run pre-shift meetings, remove obstacles, monitor output, and report status to plant leadership, while promoting a zero-injury culture and continuous improvement. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and 3+ years of supervisory experience, with strong computer skills and proficiency in Excel.

Qualifications

• Proficient in computer operations.
• Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, diagrams, and business documents.

• Ability to apply advanced mathematics as needed.
• Able to calculate OA (operational availability) and downtime per assembly line.

Responsibilities

• Run effective daily pre-shift meetings and maintain clear, consistent team communications.
• Report production status, risks, and concerns to the Production Manager and plant leadership.
• Apply established escalation procedures to resolve issues quickly.
• Champion plant operating principles, including open communication and 2-way feedback.
• Lead continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance methods and equipment.
• Adjust shifts as necessary to meet operational needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Manufacturing Cell SupervisorDepartment: ProductionReports to: Assistant Production ManagerA day in the lifeBy the time your team gathers for the pre-shift huddle, you’ve already reviewed priorities, walked the line for safety and 5S, and aligned with support groups to remove any roadblocks. You set clear expectations, reinforce PPE and zero-injury standards, and mobilize the crew to meet customer demand. Throughout the shift, you monitor output, coach team leaders, and keep everyone focused.
