Job description

The Manufacturing Production Lead will be responsible for overseeing a group of team members, ensuring efficient processes, and achieving production targets. This includes, but is not limited to, supporting the Shift Supervisor with the day-to-day management of their manufacturing area, providing leadership and line management to the team, coordinating employees’ workloads, providing support to ensure that the team meets daily goals, monitoring any issues, and ensuring production targets are achieved.Full-time employees are eligible for a weekly attendance bonus! Eligible employees can receive an additional $1 per hour, for every hour worked, in addition to their hourly wages for working their scheduled shift.Manufacturing Production Lead Responsibilities:Work to ensure people and resources are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet delivery requirements while achieving quality and safety standardsEnsure the team are aware of day to day targets and responsibilitiesEnsure that team members follow defined manufacturing procedures and comply with quality requirements, company policies, and procedures. Lead by example for adherence to company procedures and instructionsEnsure full adherence to housekeeping and safety practices at all timesEnsure equipment is functioning correctly and records are completed appropriatelyEnsure that non-conforming material is clearly identified and segregatedMonitor change over and/or line set up efficiencyPrepare line set-ups for following shifts, including first piece inspectionsProcesses technical skill sets and interpret blueprints as neededResponsible for training of operators for products and processes within the local teamResponsible for daily management and support for the team to achieve operational successCarry out incident, accident and non-conformity investigations and associated reporting and action closureConsistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviours expected of themWork positively with support functions to fully define the processes/procedures/controls relevant to team activities.
