Job summary

Amcor Rigid Packaging is seeking a highly skilled engineer to manage complex capital projects tied to the production of PET preforms and rigid containers. You will oversee multiple projects from conception to qualification, balancing productivity, timing, and budget across sites.

You will drive productivity and cost-reduction initiatives, create BOMs, ensure safety and environmental compliance, and coordinate with Regional Directors and Plant Managers to implement action plans with clear cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering and seven+ years in engineering.
• Proven experience managing multiple resources and complex projects.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities; able to influence teams.

Responsibilities

• Create BOMs for new capital projects and support the capital approval process.
• Ensure safety and environmental requirements are in the project scope and budget.
• Refine feasibility studies into action plans with cost and timing criteria.
• Review plant infrastructure and equipment against project requirements and plan upgrades.
• Analyze equipment performance and cost, including tooling and workflows.
• Publish weekly status reports on project progress and issues.
• Maintain division-level technical specifications and documentation.
• Coordinate with plants to understand long-term project performance.
• Review CEAV requests for accuracy and compliance.
• Travel approximately 60%.
