Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Project Engineer in Cleveland, OH to lead capital equipment and manufacturing improvement projects from concept through production. You will manage scopes, specifications, RFQs, budgets, procurement, installation and validation, coordinating with multiple teams and external suppliers.

The role focuses on capital project management, equipment procurement, process development, plant layout optimization and readiness for production launches.

Qualifications

• 3+ years manufacturing engineering experience
• Strong project management experience with planning, execution and delivery
• Hands-on CAPEX project experience from justification to implementation
• Experience optimizing plant layouts for efficient material flow and capacity expansion
• Ability to perform capacity analyses, time studies and process evaluations

Responsibilities

• Lead capital equipment projects from concept through full production, including scope, specifications, RFQs, capital justifications, procurement, installation and acceptance
• Manage detailed budgets, schedules, milestones, risk registers and action plans to meet cost, quality and timing targets
• Coordinate with suppliers, integrators and contractors, review designs, approve drawings and oversee runoffs, installation and commissioning
• Assess equipment and process solutions to improve capacity, productivity, quality, safety and cost
• Develop layouts and plant floor layouts supporting new equipment, material flow and future expansion
• Prepare capital expenditure justifications documenting capacity, labor savings, cost reductions and payback
