Job summary

Thermal Engineering International is seeking a CAPEX Project Manager to lead capital investments from concept through closeout, improving safety, capacity, reliability, and infrastructure. The successful candidate will manage cross-functional projects with equipment suppliers, contractors, and manufacturing operations, driving scope, schedule, budget, and risk to successful completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• 5+ years leading capital projects in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Experience from concept through commissioning and closeout.
• Ability to interpret technical and commercial requirements with vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects from concept through commissioning and closeout with accountability for scope, schedule, and budget.
• Develop project plans and verify scope and readiness prior to approval.
• Lead RFQs/RFPs, bid evaluations, vendor selection and performance management.
• Coordinate equipment design, site readiness, logistics, installation, and commissioning.
• Manage changes, forecasts, risks, dependencies, and commitments with corrective actions.
• Lead project closeout including punch lists, documentation turnover, and financial reconciliation.
• Support five-year and annual capital planning with portfolio-level reporting.
• Ensure safety, regulatory, technical, contractual, and company compliance.
