Job summary

The Richmond Group USA seeks a Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer to join a global manufacturer in Winchester, VA. You will help drive automation, equipment upgrades, and hands-on engineering to improve processes and deliver visible results.

You will evaluate existing manufacturing processes, lead automation projects from concept through implementation, and collaborate with operations, maintenance, and vendors to boost capacity and efficiency.

Qualifications

BS in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
4+ years of manufacturing or mechanical engineering experience.
Experience with manufacturing automation, machine improvements, or automated production equipment.
Hands-on equipment troubleshooting and project leadership experience.
Project management experience leading equipment or automation projects from concept through implementation.
Proficiency with 3D CAD (Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and strong GD&T knowledge.
Strong communication skills and a proactive, results-driven approach.

Responsibilities

Evaluate existing manufacturing processes, identify automation opportunities.
Lead equipment improvement projects from concept through implementation.
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and outside vendors to increase production capacity and efficiency.
Drive automation initiatives involving robotics, cobots, vision systems, and other technologies.
