Job summary

Elbit America in Roanoke, Virginia is seeking an Automation Electrical Engineer - Automation to join a team of engineers transforming process control concepts into robust solutions.

You will support design, testing, and upgrades of control systems, robotics, machine vision, data management, and measurement equipment, with cross-department collaboration and hands-on technical responsibilities.

Qualifications

• BSCS, BSEE, BSEET, or BS Physics with automation coursework.
• 3+ years in electronic development, design and support of test-manufacturing equipment.
• Major in electrical engineering; software programming minor.
• Working knowledge of electronic components and systems.
• Experience with PLCs, PC-based control environments, and industrial networking.
• Robotics and mechatronics experience; ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to transform process control concepts into robust solutions.
• Support, modify, and upgrade control, testing, and measurement components and related software.
• Assist troubleshooting hardware and software to resolve equipment issues.
• Interact across the facility with multiple process departments.
