Job summary

Schroeder Industries LLC is seeking an Automation Engineer to identify, prioritize, and implement automation opportunities across the organization to improve efficiency, quality, productivity, and profitability.

You will evaluate business and manufacturing processes, develop roadmaps, build business cases, and lead implementation efforts with IT, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance to deliver scalable, secure automation solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; equivalent experience considered.
3+ years of automation, manufacturing engineering, process improvement, or related field.
Experience analyzing, documenting, and improving business and operational processes.
Experience in a manufacturing environment; industrial products experience preferred.
Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience required.
Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

Assess workflows to identify, prioritize, and maintain an automation roadmap.
Evaluate opportunities based on ROI, labor savings, quality improvements, and feasibility.
Develop business cases, implementation plans, and success metrics for automation projects.
Analyze production workflows and data collection opportunities to improve throughput.
Lead adoption, including training materials, work instructions, and stakeholder communication.
Measure outcomes and recommend enhancements; stay current on industry best practices.
