Job summary

Amgen Rhode Island is hiring an Associate Manufacturing for the day shift to operate across cell culture and purification areas, following GMP and documenting in batch records.

You will perform tasks per SOPs, assist in deviations, training, and safety, and contribute to continuous improvement within an agile, cross-area manufacturing environment.

Strong organizational skills, ability to work under pressure, and collaboration with diverse teams are essential as you support manufacturing campaigns.

Qualifications

• High school/GED with 2+ years manufacturing or operations experience, or Associate’s +6 months, or Bachelor’s degree.
• Knowledge of GMP, CFRs, SOPs and manufacturing procedures.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and operate under high-pressure conditions.
• Strong collaboration, safety mindset, and willingness to learn across areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform cell culture, purification, weigh/dispense, and batching in two drug substance plants.
• Adhere to SOPs, MPs, JHAs, and CFRs; monitor and control manufacturing processes.
• Review documentation; assist in deviations and area audits; support continuous improvement.
• Train staff on tasks and act as safety representative as needed.
