Job summary

Amgen is seeking an Associate Manufacturing - Nights in Rhode Island to operate in a GMP-conscious environment. You will perform cell culture and purification tasks in an Agile Manufacturing Excellence team, handling batch records and SOPs while working a 12-hour night shift.

The role emphasizes cross-area collaboration, training across manufacturing areas, and contributing to process improvements in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school/GED with 2 years of manufacturing or operations experience, or an associate’s with 6 months experience, or a bachelor’s in a related field.
• Strong learning orientation, teamwork, and initiative to improve processes.
• Ability to adapt to changing environments while following GMP standards.
• Solid organizational skills and professional conduct in cross-functional settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform cell culture, purification, weigh & dispense, and solutions batching as part of Agile Manufacturing Excellence in two drug substance plants.
• Follow SOPs, MPs, JHAs, CFRs, and document activities in batch records.
• Monitor and troubleshoot critical manufacturing processes and review related documentation.
• Assist in area deviations, audits, and batch record reviews as needed.
• Collaborate with multiple teams and training areas; participate in cross-area manufacturing.
• Maintain training and proficiency across assigned areas; contribute to continuous improvement.
