Job summary

Sheridan is hiring a Manufacturing Associate – Finishing/Bindery on a daytime 7a–7p full-time shift in Richfield Township, Ohio. You’ll be trained to run high-speed bindery equipment, feed signatures, pack books, and help the team hit daily production goals while maintaining safety and quality standards.

No prior bindery experience is required—training is provided. The role requires reading work orders, basic math, reliability, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience operating machinery in manufacturing, warehouse, or trades.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, safety rules, and maintenance instructions.
• Basic math skills including addition and measurement.
• Reliability and ability to work well in a team to meet daily goals.

Responsibilities

• Feed books/signatures into the machine
• Pack books into cartons

What You’ll Do

• Feed books/signatures into machine
• Pack books into cartons
• Safely move materials/books to and from workstation

What We’re Looking For

No bindery experience? No problem—we’ll train you.

• Have experience operating machineryin any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team

It’s a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

• On your feet for most of the shift
• Fast-paced, team-oriented production floor
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
