Sheridan is hiring for a Manufacturing Associate – Finishing/Bindery (We’ll Train You!). The daytime shift is 7a–7p, full-time, with overtime opportunities. You’ll learn to run high-speed bindery equipment, feed and pack books, and ensure quality on a fast-paced production floor.

No bindery experience is required—training is provided. We value reliability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic as you build a long‑term career in print manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Basic reading comprehension of instructions and safety rules.
• Ability to read and interpret simple work orders and procedures.
• Basic math skills and ability to use measuring devices.
• Mechanical inclination and comfort with basic tools.
• Reliable team member focused on quality.

Responsibilities

• Feed books/signatures into machine.
• Pack books into cartons.
• Move materials to and from workstation safely.
• Perform hand operations as required.

What You’ll Do

• Feed books/signatures into machine
• Pack books into cartons
• Safely move materials/books to and from workstation
• Perform hand operations as required
• Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace

What We’re Looking For

No bindery experience? No problem—we’ll train you.

• Have experience operating machineryin any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team

It’s a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

• On your feet for most of the shift
• Fast-paced, team-oriented production floor
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
