Job summary

Sheridan is hiring for a Manufacturing Associate – Finishing/Bindery and will provide training for the right candidate. You’ll work on high-speed bindery equipment, feed books, pack orders, and maintain a clean, safe workspace.

No bindery experience? No problem—we’ll train you. A high school diploma or GED is required, plus basic reading, math, and teamwork skills. This is a full-time daytime role with overtime opportunities and room to grow.

Qualifications

• No bindery experience? We’ll train you.
• Experience operating machinery in any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc).
• High school Diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent education/experience
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals
• Basic math skills and ability to use a measuring device
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Read basic job instructions and measurements
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team
• Print, bindery, or finishing experience (plus)
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment (plus)

Responsibilities

What We’re Looking For

• High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team

It’s a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

• On your feet for most of the shift
• Fast-paced, team-oriented production floor
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
