Job summary

Sheridan is hiring a Manufacturing Associate – Finishing/Bindery for the daytime shift (7a–7p), a full-time role based in Hudson, OH. No bindery experience? We’ll train you. You’ll operate high-speed bindery equipment, feed books, pack them, and assist with quality checks.

We seek reliable, team-oriented individuals with basic math and reading skills who want a long-term career in print manufacturing. Overtime opportunities and comprehensive benefits await after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Experience operating machinery in any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.).
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Basic math skills (add, subtract) and ability to use measuring device.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, safety rules, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Feed books/signatures into machine.
• Pack books into cartons.
• Safely move materials/books to and from workstation.
• Perform hand operations as required.

What You’ll Do

• Feed books/signatures into machine
• Pack books into cartons
• Safely move materials/books to and from workstation

• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace

What We’re Looking For

No bindery experience? No problem—we’ll train you.

• Have experience operating machineryin any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team

It’s a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

• On your feet for most of the shift
• Fast-paced, team-oriented production floor
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
