Job summary

Sheridan is hiring for a Manufacturing Associate in the finishing/bindery area. We’ll train you to operate high‑speed bindery equipment on a daytime shift (7a–7p) with full-time hours and overtime opportunities. No bindery experience is required—training is provided to learn the job and grow within the company.

You’ll be part of a team, perform on‑line hand operations, and aim to meet daily production goals while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and comprehend instructions.
• High school Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, safety rules, and procedures.
• Basic math skills including adding and subtracting.

Responsibilities

• Feed books/signatures into the machine.
• Pack books into cartons.
• Safely move materials/books to and from the workstation.
• Perform hand operations as required.
• Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals.
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards.
• Follow safety procedures and keep a clean, organized workspace.

What You’ll Do

• Feed books/signatures into machine
• Pack books into cartons
• Safely move materials/books to and from workstation

• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace

What We’re Looking For

No bindery experience? No problem—we’ll train you.

• Have experience operating machineryin any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team

It’s a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

• On your feet for most of the shift
• Fast-paced, team-oriented production floor
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
