Job summary

Sheridan is hiring for a Manufacturing Associate – Finishing/Bindery (We’ll Train You!) on a 7p–7a full-time shift in Ohio. No bindery experience needed; we’ll train you to operate high‑speed bindery equipment and contribute to a busy production floor.

You’ll join a team focused on quality, safety, and efficiency, with hands-on training, overtime opportunities, and comprehensive benefits after an introductory period.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Read and comprehend instructions and operate from work orders.
• Read and interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, and manuals.
• Basic math skills and ability to use a measuring device.
• Mentally and physically capable of handling basic tools and equipment.
• Reliability and teamwork to meet daily production goals.

Responsibilities

• Feed books/signatures into high‑speed bindery equipment.
• Pack finished books into cartons and prepare for shipping.
• Move materials safely to and from the workstation.
• Perform hand operations as required on the line.
• Collaborate with the team to hit daily production targets.
• Inspect finished products for quality standards.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace.

What You’ll Do

• Feed books/signatures into machine
• Pack books into cartons
• Safely move materials/books to and from workstation
• Perform hand operations as required
• Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace

What We’re Looking For

No bindery experience? No problem—we’ll train you.
We’re looking for people who:

• Have experience operating machineryin any industry(manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team

It’s a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

• On your feet for most of the shift
• Fast-paced, team-oriented production floor
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
