Job summary

Sheridan is hiring a Manufacturing Associate for finishing/bindery on a nighttime shift. You’ll be trained to operate high-speed bindery equipment, feed and pack materials, and maintain quality and safety on a fast-paced production floor.

We welcome candidates with any machinery experience who are reliable, team-oriented, and eager to learn and grow within a long-term printing manufacturing career. Overtime opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Experience operating machinery in any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.).
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and safety rules.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders and procedures.
• Basic math skills including adding/subtracting and measuring with a device.

Responsibilities

• Feed books/signatures into high-speed bindery equipment.
• Pack books into cartons.
• Move materials and finished goods safely between stations.
• Perform hand operations as required.
• Work with team to hit daily production goals.
• Inspect finished products for quality standards.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace.

What You’ll Do

• Feed books/signatures into machine
• Pack books into cartons
• Safely move materials/books to and from workstation
• Perform hand operations as required
• Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace

What We’re Looking For

No bindery experience? No problem—we’ll train you.
We’re looking for people who:

• Have experience operating machineryin any industry(manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device
• Basic problem‑solving skills
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team

It’s a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

• On your feet for most of the shift
• Fast‑paced, team‑oriented production floor
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
