Sheridan is hiring for a Manufacturing Associate on the nighttime finishing/bindery line in Canton, Ohio. No bindery experience needed—we’ll train you to operate high‑speed equipment to produce books and printed materials.

This full‑time role emphasizes hands‑on work, teamwork, and opportunities for career growth within a stable print manufacturing company. Overtime available and benefits after a 30‑day period.

Qualifications

• Experience operating machinery in any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades).
• HS Diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and safety rules.
• Ability to read work orders and maintenance instructions.
• Basic math and use of a measuring device.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Take pride in quality work and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Feed books/signatures into the binding machine.
• Pack books into cartons and move materials safely.
• Perform hand operations as required and assist team to hit daily goals.
• Inspect finished products for quality and safety compliance.
• Follow safety procedures and keep workspace clean and organized.

What You’ll Do

• Feed books/signatures into machine
• Pack books into cartons
• Safely move materials/books to and from workstation
• Perform hand operations as required
• Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace

What We’re Looking For

No bindery experience? No problem—we’ll train you.

We’re looking for people who:

• Have experience operating machineryin any industry(manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device
• Basic problem‑solving skills
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team

It’s a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

• On your feet for most of the shift
• Fast‑paced, team‑oriented production floor
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
