Job summary

Large Equipment Assembly and Manufacturing in Akron, OH is seeking an entry-level assembler to work with mechanical components and industrial equipment in a fast-paced shop. The role is hands-on, requiring comfort with hand and power tools and a neat, detail‑oriented approach.

On‑the‑job training and opportunities for advancement are provided. Monday–Friday day shift with overtime potential, full benefits, and a company‑sponsored 401(k) plan with matching; tools and uniforms are supplied.

Qualifications

  • Comfortable using basic hand and power tools.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, metal shop, construction, automotive, mechanical or industrial environments preferred.
  • Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail.
  • Reliable, dependable and willing to learn.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with assembly of large industrial equipment and components
  • Use hand and power tools including drills, grinders and other shop equipment
  • Prepare parts for assembly through cleaning, deburring and basic surface preparation
  • Support general shop organization and cleanliness
  • Work safely around industrial equipment including cranes and tow motors
  • Follow company safety procedures and productions standards

This is a hands-on position working with mechanical components, industrial equipment and shop tools in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, comfortable using hand and power tools, and looking to build a long-term career in manufacturing. While this is an entry-level opportunity for career growth, candidates should already have basic experience working with tools in a shop, manufacturing, construction, automotive, farm or similar hands-on environment.
