As a Machine Assembler, you are responsible for assembling mechanical and electro-mechanical components into finished equipment according to specifications, blueprints, and work instructions. This role is critical to ensuring product quality, operational efficiency, and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
Assembly & Build:
- Assemble mechanical and electro-mechanical components, subassemblies, and full machines according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions.
- Ensure proper alignment, fit, and function of all assembled components.
Quality & Testing:
- Inspect components and completed assemblies to ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform basic functional testing and identify defects or inconsistencies.
- Report issues and collaborate with engineering or leadership on corrective actions.
Tools & Equipment:
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices (calipers, gauges, etc.).
- Maintain tools in good working condition and follow proper storage procedures.
Documentation:
- Complete assembly documentation, checklists, and production records accurately.
- Track parts usage and notify leadership of shortages or discrepancies.
Safety & Compliance:
- Follow all OSHA and company safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment (5S alignment).
- Work cross-functionally with machinists, technicians, and engineering teams.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance assembly efficiency and quality.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, or production assembly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and technical documentation.
- Proficient in the safe use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, components, and assembly processes.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer proficiency for production tracking, documentation, and data entry.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including fractions, decimals, and tolerance measurements.
- Effective verbal communication skills to relay production updates, issues, and shift handoffs.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including 8-12 hour shifts and occasional weekends.
- Capable of meeting production goals while maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
- Frequently lift and carry 25-50 lbs; occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
- Able to work safely in an industrial environment with exposure to noise, moving machinery, and other manufacturing conditions.
